Another wonderful feature of Kami is the ability for students to video record a response to a question. This would allow them to use props or other visuals to assist wtih conveying their comprehension of a particular curricular outcome.

For example, if in grade three a question were posed about identifying different types of rocks, a student might choose to do a video answer (must be done as a comment to have access to theh webcam). They could then take a couple different rocks (either at home or at school) and use them as part of their explanation about identifying types of rocks. For certain students, the ability to show while they explain affords a richer explanation for the purposes of your grading.

To use this feature, students would click in where the response on the page should go WITH THE COMMENTING TOOL. They then would choose the video camera (indicated with the green arrow) and would offer their response to the question via video.
